Back in December I had the privilege to work with a fantastic team of suppliers on a commercial shoot for Olivier Laudus. A bridal accessories boutique for discerning brides with an appreciation for elegance and style, Olivier Laudus asked me to give them a hand styling their “Great Glamour” collection – a range of bridal accessories inspired by the glamour of the 1920s. I love this collection. Without pretending to be ‘vintage’, it is actually the epitome of the timeless elegance that 1920s fashion did so well and that, to this day, we are still influenced by.
Ever-resourceful Sangeeta had managed to secure the stunning Massimo Restaurant of the Corinthia Hotel in London – the perfect backdrop for this art deco inspired photo shoot.
Having worked with photographer Fiona Kelly on previous shoots, I knew it would be just fabulous! So with Fiona behind the camera, Ana Ospina behind the make up brush, and Joshua Altback behind the hair brush, the Olivier Laudus beautifully came to life!
Styling dresses by Sabina Motasem and Ellis Bridals and flowers by Bluesky Flowers, we created two distinctive bridal looks: a glamorous, art deco look for the bride that loves an authentic classic style, and a more relaxed, romantic look, for a younger but discerning bride.
