“All stylized shoots always have a story behind them. This particular storyline is interwoven into this region’s history. It’s a sophisticated celebration between a mature bride and groom getting married with their children at their sides. Envision glamour meets steel. Experience meets everlasting love.” says Chelsea of Bit of Ivory, the lovely photographer behind the images I’m sharing with you today.
Except, this styled shoot is not just a styled shoot…
“The event turned into a surprise vow renewal between our “bride” and “groom”… who in real life just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. It was all of the groom’s idea. He said, “We are all dressed up. We should renew our vows!” There was not a non-teary eye amongst all the photogs and vendors in attendance during AND after the vows.
Things we incorporated into the shoot:
1. Blended families are so much a part of a lot of home dynamics, and we wanted to incorporate that concept.
2. Very few styled shoots have older brides and grooms, and I wanted to showcase the beauty of love at all ages.”
I love a good story, and I love that this team has worked with a real family to bring to life their industrial (copper and steel elements) meets glam (silver, pearls and elegant vintage pieces) vision!
