This is one of those days where I am supposed to be writing something meaningful but nothing comes out. I confess – I feel deflated. Some days you just feel like that. You have big plans, you think things are going great, the blog is picking up momentum, everything is falling into place, but then it takes one little something to bring you right down again.

Some days just go like that and I guess it’s just part of the whole process of setting up a business. You get knocked, you pick yourself up, you get knocked again, you pick yourself up again… So in the process of picking myself up I’ve spent some time looking at things that make me truly happy, which I want to share with you. And no, I’m not talking about bags and shoes (although if someone gave me £xxx right now it would certainly, temporarily cure this ‘deflatedness’!). The things that make me happy, however, are the things in nature that cost no money, and they also happen to be the best colour inspiration for weddings! Flowers, trees, the sea… What would I give to be on an island with my laptop and my husband, just walking around in shorts and vest, eating fruits from the trees, and paddling my feet in the sea water!

This one reminds me of the colours of the Mediterranean – yellow, orange, green and beige. It takes me home and makes me want to fall asleep in the heat of the afternoon, on an hammock, under an olive or lemon tree, in a farm in Ostuni (Apulia). Heaven!

Are these real? Seriously, I love the bold colour, hardly any green… just dark brown and deep coral. Perfect.

Pale blue / turquoise and beige – such a soft and delicate combination…

Ok, this last, perhaps, was slightly retouched, but I love the majesty of the clouds, and these three trees sitting alone against this dramatic sky… Pink and grey is one of my favourite colour combination. It’s timeless, elegant and delicate.

Nature rocks!

Onwards and upwards,

xoxo Betta
