… and can you blame us? The first time I saw the image of a bridal floral crown I thought: “LOVE it! But seriously, who’d ever wear something like that on her wedding day?” (unattainable photo shoot inspiration once again?) That was beginning of 2013, I think. Fast forward approx. 18 months and floral crowns have really and truly ruled (no pun intended!) the list of 2013 – 2014 bridal trends! Are floral crowns here to stay? Well, judging by the real weddings and shoots all over blogs, Pinterest and Instagram, floral crowns don’t really seem to be on the way out.
But frankly, whether they are or not, it matters only relatively. After all your wedding is a reflection of you, not of what me, bloggers, your wedding planner, your peers or anyone else like, promote or encourage you to adopt. So, if they are on their way out, apologies to all those who think my post is uninspiring. I like them. And if it inspires even just one bride, I am a happy blogger 🙂

I actually have bridal hair style envy for this one… Short hair and bold flower crown? Yes please! Don’t these two brides look the cutest ever?
Love these four autumn/winter options! Mixing forest fruits, berries, dried flowers and even pine cones, who says that wedding crown are just a pretty S/S wedding accessory?
I tend to associate red wedding themes to red roses and quite honestly, I am not a bit fan of them. But these three red / burgundy crowns prove me wrong. 1: you don’t need red roses to do ‘red theme’. 2: red flower crowns have an ethereal, yet lush feel, which is perfect for an autumnal wedding. And 3: brunettes and rich red tones? Oh yeah! Look at how beautifully they complement both pale and darker skin tones and how perfectly they work with either a nude make up or red lippy!
I love the mix of wild, super colourful flowers, leaves and twigs of these two crowns. Boho, bold, bright, romantic, and, with that gorgeous fiery red hair colour, I would dare say, passionate too.
Understated? Not.at.all. Keep everything else simple, and you can truly dare to go big. And when I say ‘simple’ I mean REALLY simple! No need to wear necklaces or statement earrings. Floral crowns like these deserve all the glory and adding more bold accessories will just detract attention, but even worse make you look like you’ve tried to hard. Less is more… Always!
